Alstom, with recorded sales of 7.3 billion in the 2016/17 fiscal year, is the world leader in integrated transport systems and continues to push the boundaries of innovation & digital solutions for transportation systems and e-mobility.  We are today at the forefront of providing sustainable modes of transport, with the largest range of rail solutions in the market.  Headquartered in France and present in over 60 countries,  we employ 32,800 people worldwide. You will be a member of the Reporting department, at the heart of Alstom’s central Finance organisationRoles and responsibilities of the Reporting departmentWithin Group Finance department, Reporting team is in charge of managing the financial reporting system, Teranga (SAP BFC) within the framework of the Group’s reporting processes, in order to produce the Consolidated Group Financial Statements.On a daily basis, the Reporting Centre manages the infrastructure for most of the group financial reporting (Budget, forecast, actuals and EHS) so that ALSTOM can benefit from a fast, reliable, efficient, world-class reporting process & tool. We ensure that financial information is processed in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Group Accounting Policy, rules and timetable, and support Business Units in complying with internal control and both Internal and external audit requirements.With around 200 Reporting Units and 600 users, the Consolidation and Reporting Centre is in constant contact with a large part of the Group’s finance and EHS communities around the world. We provide user-support at all levels, directly where it is needed, with a dedicated Helpline via a generic mail box, for both reporting and accounting issues. We work closely with Finance Planning and Analysis, Consolidation, Treasury and Tax department, to understand their requirements and propose appropriate reporting and accounting solutions.We also collaborate closely with IT to continuously improve software and hardware performance, within the framework of ALSTOM’s IT strategy.MissionReporting to the Consolidation & Reporting Director, you will participate to the following activities:Prepare and implement the monthly reporting process: generating the packs, integrating exchange rates, launching consolidations, making data available for retrieval/for QlickviewProvide functional and technical assistance to Teranga users: help to declare & reconcile intercompany positions through the monitoring of technical package; follow up of package’s reopening for budget, forecast and actual scenario.Perform analysis on the reporting quality: missing pack analysis, submission frequency and number of modification/resubmission that will be submitted to managementIn connexion with FP&A and legal department: follow up of the change in scope request submitted in Teranga Census tool: ensure appropriate documentation is available & all necessary characteristics of the change are in line with Alstom procedure in order to validate the request.Ensure the correct application of reporting Internal Control procedures, and prepare all required supporting documentation for internal and external audits & update the Operations manual and contribute to improve our processesMaintain an efficient relationship with the regional finance community and other central finance department.Additionally, contribute to designing and running the Teranga training sessions ( live-tips or on site support)QualificationsWork experience1-2 years experience in SAP BFC administration. .Technical skillsGood MS Office skills.Adaptable and reliable individual with a precise, well-organised and accurate working style.Capacity to deal with pressure and manage priorities, and to work in an international environment with a large number of clients.Team-oriented, capable of explaining technical notions in layman’s terms, with a very developed sense of service to clients.EducationDegree in IT or FinanceLangagesWorking level in French and English, spoken and written.
