Position SummaryThe Operations Employee primarily manages all issues with delivering packages. He or she solves a variety of problems by serving as an interface between the center, the drivers, the clients and the Loss Prevention Department.He or she carries out all tasks in accordance with the company’s operating methods and Quality and Values Initiatives. Depending on the size of the center, the operations employee might carry out all or some of the tasks listed below.Key Accountabilities• Prepare his or her work zone with suitable equipment in accordance with current rules• Assist with putting the specified set-up in place• Process client complaints (delayed deliveries, etc.)• Process delivery change requests in accordance with current processes• Manage packages that are undeliverable (pending): open a “pending” file and process responses obtained internallys• Process damaged packages (record requests, inspections if necessary, etc.)• Greet clients for deliveries or shipments at the dock (verification of invoices for international shipments)• Manage the center’s cash desk and greet clients, give them their packages and carry out related administrative tasks• Assign pick-ups to drivers via the internal communication system• Assist drivers with problems relating to addresses or access for deliveries• Greet clients by phone and in person• Secure packages in accordance with current processes• Call clients to manage their delivery in accordance with their contract• Process requests from the Loss Prevention Department• Verify products qualitatively and quantitatively using the documents submitted• Follow and apply the health and safety rules put in place within the company• Check, clean and take care of the materials and equipment provided to him or her• Report any malfunctions to the supervisor• Invoice for outsourced transport activities• Carry out any one-time tasks for which he or she is qualified, as assigned by the SupervisorOther Job RequirementsProficiency in the IT environmentGood oral expressionAbility to work independentlyDiligenceLogical reasoningAttention to customer serviceOral and written communicationVersatilityGood inter-personal skillsEducation and Work ExperienceBac (high school diploma) +2 in transport, logistics, customs, international trade
